McQuaide has developed a special commodities division that specializes in comprehensive project management services for transporting oversize, overweight, or irregular commodities

Specialized hauling requires an experienced staff in planing, driving and escorting.

Each load requires special permitting requirements that vary per city and state. Depending upon the degree of over-sized dimension, different rules apply as to the type of planning and permits needed. Certain loads require trained escorts with specialized escort vehicles. In addition, there are circumstances that require police escorts.

McQuaide has extensive experience in transport project management and can plan and implement a special permit move between any two points within the United States and Canada. We have experienced staff in all areas of the transport project including driving, escorting, and dispatching, to insure that the project is completed as planned.

McQuaide has an asset based operation that has an extensive fleet of tractors, trailers, and escort vehicles needed to complete most over-sized loads. We have a variety of specialty trailers that include: drop decks, lowboys, expandable flatbeds, and expandable trailers with rear steerable axles for loads up to 160ft in length.
